Just came upon this again today – good reminder that we shouldn’t be expecting to succeed spectacularly on our first try or even several tries.
Time ago I had a great boss who always was (or seemed to be) very quiet and having everything under control. Whenever one of us or he himself commited a mistake, he used to say: “Well, we are here to learn”. He never yelled at us… he was a true leader in our company.
Nowadays I live with the same principle. Every time I fail at something I think what I can learn about it and take action to fix my strategies, behaviour, etc. And I always remember this: Winners never quit. And those who quit never win.
