Everyone likes free traffic, don’t get me wrong. I love free traffic. We all love free traffic because all of the money we make from it is pure profit. However, there are some cases where free traffic is actually a waste of time. There are some occasions where you will need to use paid traffic to beat out the competition or just to make better use of your time. There are tons of paid advertising you can use, but here is a look at some of the most expensive ones around and why you may want to use them.
Adwords
Adwords is not for the faint of heart or for a new marketer. In fact, if you are new to internet marketing at all I suggest you stay away from paid advertising, at least until you know what you are doing. If you don’t know what you are up against there is a very good chance that you could be out several hundred or even several thousand dollars in a day or two. Now, with that being said, if you are looking for a fast way to see what keywords convert, have a good product at a high price that would justify your ad budget then this will be a fast way to do a quick analysis and hit the ground running when it comes to your campaign.
Initially you would use your ads to test keywords to see what keywords and ads converted best. There is a lot of testing and tweaking involved, but once you get the formula down, you can start running regular ads and start making a pretty decent profit. And the nice thing about this is that you won’t have to worry about all of the other problems like ranking a site when it comes to your marketing strategy. Of course that would be nice, but here it wouldn’t be necessary.
Print ads
Print ads such as magazine and newspaper ads are an expensive marketing tactic. However, if your market is local then it may be a great way to target your local market. Putting ads in local newspapers and magazines will help people around your area learn more about your business and bring in more business for yourself. Given the chance, many people would rather deal with local business then someone that is overseas hiding behind a computer. If you are a local business looking to get more exposure in your area, then going the print ad route may be your best bet.
These are very expensive ways to get more traffic, but if you are looking to maximize your efforts and have the money to spend then you could shortcut your marketing plan and pull in paying customers at a record pace. Be forewarned though, that having a small marketing budget and little experience could lose you a whole lot of money in a short amount of time. Do your due diligence beforehand and make sure that you know what you are getting yourself into before getting started.
